Two years in design and development, the XMA World Headquarters has found its home in the NOHO Arts District, in North Hollywood, CA. Located one mile from Universal Studios, Hollywood, the NoHo Arts District is in the final phases of a $500 million redevelopment, and boasts brand new Live/Work Loft Condos, a new METRO Station, and more than 200,000 square feet of retail space along the landmark Lankershim Boulevard. Home to the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and the famous Emmy Statue, there are more than 22 theaters, 11 art galleries, and the mecca Millenium Dance studio, where the world’s top dancers and choreographers teach and train. Directly across the street from Millenium is 5140 Lankershim Boulevard, home to the new XMA World Headquarters.
Designed in conjunction with BMP Enterprises and The Unicon Group, 5140 was built in the 1920s and has been restored to its original architectural form with sandblasted brick walls, beautiful wooden bow-truss ceilings, and 27 eight-foot-tall, French-door windows that line the building’s south and west walls. The second-floor mezzanine houses a member’s lounge with a 70” HDTV screen to watch TV shows and films and play all the latest video games in which XMA Team Members have appeared, performing “motion capture”.
